Countryfile: ‘You’ve got to be kidding me?’ Viewers irritated and turn off repeat episode

Countryfile returned to BBC One tonight and viewers tuned in to see Ellie Harrison explore the British coastline.

However, during several moments of the episode, those watching at home noticed some similarities in the clips.

Handing over the presenting to Adam Henson, he was seen on a beach in North Devon speaking to a cattle farmer; a clip which had previously aired on the nature show.

And viewers weren’t very happy with the repeat.

Taking to Twitter to comment, one said: “Slightly irritated by the repeat clips on #Countryfile I’ve decamped to BBC2 for the snooker.”

Another added: “#Countryfile is rather boring this week. Time to switch off.”

“Looking forward to #Countryfile every week but getting fed up of most of the program being ‘look back’ at previous programs,” a third remarked.

Someone else questioned: “Has this cow story been on before? #Countryfile.”

But Adam’s throwback wasn’t the only one featured in tonight’s episode, as Anita Rani was seen checking out the migrating birds of spring.

“You’ve got to be kidding me?” The presenter exclaimed referring to the cliffs drop. “What is that?”

Those watching at home were shown Anita partaking in an unusual version of bird watching.

Abseiling down the side off a clip, herself and an expert were suspending hundreds of feet in the air by a canopy which they sat on.

Looking out to the sea with a pair of binoculars in hand they observed the prey flying over the shore.
