Danny Dyer tipped for I’m a Celeb jungle after sharing his love for reality TV

After the TV hardman admitted his love for reality TV, wild speculation has erupted about Danny Dyer doing a stint in the Australian jungle on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.

Danny appeared as a guest on one-off show Good Evening Britain to talk about his eldest daughter Dani Dyer , who is currently starring in Love Island .

He told the show’s hosts, Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, that’s he’s quite the fan of reality shows and has done some himself, leading many to speculate that the jungle isn’t off the cards for him.

When asked about whether he would have preferred his daughter to pursue acting at drama college, he said: "She’s a talented actress – I’ve had my moments with reality TV as well and I struggled with it when it first came around because it does crossover to what we do.

"It is an instant thing at the moment and it is a career… why not try and do something like this Love Island – everyone’s talking about it and she can earn loads of money and crack right on.

"It is a career – you can earn loads of dough and get loved and adored for it."

After this admission, bookies William Hill reported a huge odds drop from 8/1 to 5/1 on him getting into the jungle.

He is certainly no stranger to the world of reality TV, having taken part in Who Do You Think You Are? and Celebrity Juice, as well as supporting his on-screen wife Kellie Bright as she took part in Strictly Come Dancing.

A spokesman from the bookmakers told OK! magazine : "Danny made it clear that he is not against reality TV and we think there is a great chance that he will be off to the jungle.

“Although we think Strictly might not be up his street.”

He added that producers would be "clambering over each other" to get him to sign on the dotted line.

Danny spoke out about his pride on how his daughter has been handling herself on the show, saying she is an example of how people can be kind and genuine on a reality show, rather than ticking the boxes producers require.

He also made some shocking comments about the Brexit referendum, though many are now tipping him to become the new London Mayor if he opts not to head into the jungle.

Danny openly called former Prime Minister David Cameron a t*** multiple times on the show, and told off Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn for misinformation in the Brexit debate.

He currently appears in EastEnders as Mick Carter, the landlord of The Queen Vic.

MirrorOnline has contacted ITV for a comment.
