Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) has a new fear unlocked when Wendy (Susan Cookson) tells him they may be bringing Lloyd (Matt Sutton) out of his coma. While his survival ensures Dan’s charge isn’t escalated to manslaughter, it also means he can reveal Dan was not acting in self-defence. It’s lose-lose.
Dan’s life has been in turmoil since that fateful day he landed a single punch on Lloyd for stalking Amelia (Daisy Campbell). Lloyd was left in a coma and Dan was arrested and charged. And Lloyd’s wife Julie is around to make sure he suffers.
Amelia bumps into Julie who once again unleashes her full fury on the fragile teenager, having already dubbed her ‘scum’, but in a twist Amelia isn’t expecting, Julie suddenly breaks down and reveals that Wendy is wrong, they won’t be bringing Lloyd out of his coma after all.

Vengeful Julie spits that she intends to bring Amelia down as well as her dad, blaming the young mum for this sorry mess. Julie is in severe denial about Lloyd’s behaviour towards young women on social media.
Unclear of what Julie’s threat means, Amelia is terrified she’ll face a similar fate to her dad. She confesses her fears to Sarah (Katie Hill) who goes into full Dingle mode and suggests she bends the law and lies about Lloyd assaulting her. Sarah later regrets her advice, but Amelia has already taken it on board and prepares to tell her new story.
When Amelia disappears, Dan quizzes Sarah on where she is and Sarah cracks, telling Dan what she’s about to do. Dan and Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) rush out to stop her but as they floor it to the police station, Amelia takes a deep breath and prepares to go in.
Amelia’s lies could make the entire situation worse – as Dan’s own life is ripped apart, is he about to watch Amelia suffer the same fate?
‘At first I really don’t think she would cope well because she’s a single mum with college and a job to think about’, Daisy Campbell said, reflecting on the possibility of Amelia losing Dan.
‘In good time I think she would learn to cope but think it would take a while to get used to, because she’s always had Dan there. She’s definitely thinking about where she would live because she’s 17 and she has the house to think about running on her own if he ever did go to prison. I think she would find comfort and help if Noah moved in.
‘Mandy has been Amelia’s rock through what we’ve seen so far’, she added.
‘They have such a bond since working in the salon together and I think Amelia looks up to Mandy as a motherly figure. She’s also been a great support system for Dan. Noah supports Amelia all the time; he is her biggest rock always. He certainly gives her reassurance and helps her through thick and thin.’
