Ralf Little, who is best known for portraying DI Neville Parker on Death In Paradise, has shared details about his newest project. The 41-year-old actor recently revealed to The One Show viewers he’ll be performing at venues around the country with another actor. During the episode, Ralf said he “still can’t quite believe” the project he’s signed up for which is a far cry from his role on the Caribbean comedy-crime drama.

Ralf recently appeared on The One Show to be interviewed about the latest series of Death In Paradise by hosts Ronan Keating and Alex Jones.

The actor portrays plays a hypochondriac inspector who is allergic to almost everything on the fictional island of St Marie.

There are several questions fans of the drama want answered, none least what the future holds for Neville’s love life after he tried to spark a flame with Florence Cassell (Josephine Jobert) in the Christmas special.

While Ralf couldn’t disclose any spoilers for the series linked to his character, he was able to disclose information on his newest project.

During the instalment, which aired on January 6, Alex said to Ralf: “Well your next job is a little less glamorous, but it’s very well-loved though, it’s Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.

“You’re going on tour?”

Ralf replied: “Well, it’s a podcast. Me and Will Mellor have been doing a podcast which we started out doing as a way to reminisce about the old days.

“And it sort of moved into us, I don’t know, chewing the fat.

He quipped: “We are short of middle-aged white men’s opinions, aren’t we? So it’s good that we got our podcast out there.”

Two Pints was one of the BBC’s biggest sitcoms of the 2000s, and it saw Ralf and Will pushing the boundaries of acceptable humour on television for a decade.

The actors decided to make a podcast in April 2020 to “chat s**t” with each other and speak to a host of celebrity guests over two pints and a helping of bar snacks.

Discussing the podcast’s success, Ralf told Alex and Ronan: “It was more popular than we ever thought it was going to be and everyone seemed to love it so we are taking it on tour.”

“The shows are almost all sold-out so we can’t quite believe it and we are going all over the UK.”

Ronan Keating replied: “Wow, well good luck with it and thank you for joining us.”

In true Two Pints style, the entire tour will be unscripted and involve the audience and their hilarious and cringe-worthy anecdotes.

Talking about the tour, Ralf said: “I’m slightly petrified about going on tour with Will but excited to finally meet the people who’ve been supporting our pod and have fun with them!”

Will, who now plays Harvey Gaskell in Coronation Street, said: “I’m just excited to get out and meet people and be in the same room as them again, the last 18 months has been hard, and we are going to get people in the venue, have a load of fun and a few pints, I’m buzzing”.

They will tour 14 dates across England, with the first night of the tour kicking off in Birmingham on Friday, January 21.

Their jaunt on the road will come to a close in Nottingham on Sunday, February 13.

The One Show continues on weekdays on BBC One at 7pm.
