DEATH in Paradie star Ralf Little has revealed he got a nasty shock when he pinched a prop from the set.
The popular BBC One drama, which is set in the Caribbean's Saint-Marie, sees Little play the role of DI Neville Parker.
He initially only comes to the island because they need a British detective to sign off on a case, and is forced to stay longer after a period of illness renders him temporarily unfit to travel.
However, he decides to remain on the island and eventually warms to the island lifestyle.
Fans of the crime show will be delighted to know it'll be back over the festive period with a special episode.
It's Christmas episode will air on Boxing Day at 9pm on BBC One.
Speaking about filming the Christmas special, Ralf has revealed he stole a prop from the show's set – only to get a shock.
"There’s always something psychologically heartbreaking about picking up one of the presents the props department have left under the tree and realising it’s empty," he told the Christmas issue of Radio Times.
He continued by sharing how strange it was to film the festive episode – in the warmth and sun.
"The beautiful bright sunshine takes a little bit of getting used to," he said. "Christmas is dark nights, chillier weather and cosy houses.”
