Ethan (Emile John)’s career as a solicitor has been going well in Emmerdale recently. His relationship with Marcus (Darcy Grey) has also been going well – after some initial difficulties the two have settled into living together and they seemed quite happy.
This is set to be tested in upcoming episodes when Ethan brings his work and home life together by inviting his boss, Greg, for a meal. He’s nervous about how it will go, but Marcus is calm and reassuring and tells Ethan that it’s all going to be fine.
Greg arrives for lunch, and as Marcus predicted everything seems to be fine. But there’s something slightly off about Greg’s behaviour. Is he pursuing a secret agenda?
A recent episode hinted that there may have been some infidelity in the relationship after Marcus criticised Nate (Jurell Carter) for betraying Naomi (Karene Peter) by sleeping with Tracy (Amy Walsh). Marcus told Ethan that he was struggling to live under the same roof as Nate because of the infidelity, saying he doesn’t like ‘liars and cheats.’
He then asked Ethan if he had anything to hide. Ethan laughed this off, but later looked on edge, as though Marcus’s words had hit home to him.
Could there be something going on between Ethan and Greg? If so, why would he risk bringing Greg to meet Marcus?
