EastEnders Adam Woodyatt shuts down gin business with £13k debt | The Sun

EASTENDERS legend Adam Woodyatt gave up the soap to concentrate on his gin brand – now we can reveal that has been thrown down the sink by the actor.

The telly star set up the company Neat Distillery Ltd in August 2017 and launched a range of trendy gins not long after, just as there was talk of him quitting the screen.

In 2021, he finally walked out on his role as Ian Beale and last week, The Sun disclosed that he’d folded his main media company, X L Management, which is the clearest hint yet that he’s giving up acting for good.

But now we can reveal the 54-year-old’s Neat Gin brand is no more despite Adam saying in an interview that he had "quite a diverse list of outlets and distribution from entertainment, bars, fine dining to music clubs”, including Tom Kerridge and London’s Hippodrome.

The website www.neatgin.com is defunct, while its Facebook and Twitter pages haven’t been updated since 2019, apart from Adam putting a shout out to Ticketmaster last year asking where were his tickets to see drag queen Bianca Del Rio, who won series six of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Neat Distillery Ltd posted accounts last year, which remained unchanged from the previous 12 months, showing the firm to be £13,370 in debt.

Adam runs the company with his ex-wife Beverley, they both have joint control of the business despite going through a “toxic split” after he reportedly wouldn’t give her a fair deal until reaching an amicable final settlement.

In all the time of the firm trading, it’s always been in debt, nevertheless, even if loaded Adam and Beverley decide to fold it, they’ve got plenty of money to cover any losses.

It was The Sun who first revealed that the actor had spent months developing his recipe, with a source telling the Bizarre column: “This is something Adam is really passionate about.

“He is planning to sell it online, along with merchandise he has lined up with the branding and recipes."
