EastEnders fans furious after This Morning drops massive Shakil spoiler

EastEnders fans were furious today when This Morning dropped a massive spoiler about Shakil Kazemi’s stabbing.

On Monday night, viewers were horrified when Shakil and best friend Keegan Baker were stabbed in the Queen Vic alley.

The schoolboys were left fighting for their lives after a vicious gang took revenge in the start of a dark knife crime storyline.

But those who had managed to avoid spoiler and were unaware of Shakil’s fate were angered when Sharon Marshall and actor Shaheen Jafargholi explained what happens in the rest of this week’s episodes.

EastEnders viewers who weren’t in bits last night will be left in tears later this week when Shakil tragically DIES.

Speaking on This Morning, Shaheen said: "Friday will be the end for Shakil. Tonight’s episode you see him wandering round trying to get help but unfortunately that does happen.

"You get to see the gory details of what happens which is so important at the minute."

Outraged EastEnders viewers took to Twitter after the spoiler was announced.

One viewer said: "Wait what did Sharon say?? Very last scene omg This Morning why are you spoilering Eastenders !?!?"

"Wait wait wait… he dies?!!!! #ThisMorning," added another.

A third said: "Spoiler alert would of been nice ?! #Eastenders"

After stealing a bike, Keegan spotted one of the gang members in the street and followed them to the Queen Vic alley, where he was suddenly stabbed by another thug.

As Keegan collapsed to the floor, struggling to breathe due to the wound in his neck, he was shocked to see his best mate Shakil had also been stabbed and was bleeding profusely.

The powerful scenes were devastating to watch but were highly praised by EastEnders fans for drawing attention to such a serious issue – with Shakil set to die later this week.

The whole of Albert Square is left shaken by the horrific attack – with Mick Carter and Masood Ahmed amongst those thinking they could have done more to save Shakil.

Shaheen admitted he felt the responsibility over the major storyline and had worked closely with Brooke Kinsella and the Ben Kinsella Trust team.

On leaving the soap, he said: "It’s going to be weird – I’ve been there for two years now and made so many incredible friends and family.

"Like anything all good things come to an end, it’s the nature of these kind of shows, characters come and go.

"I feel so blessed to be able to leave with such an incredible storyline that means so much."

*This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10.30am
