EastEnders viewers were left praising the BBC soap as scenes unfolded showing Lily, 12, giving birth to her first baby in the latest episode.
The storyline finally came to a head as Stacey Slater supported her daughter through labour with her own mum Jean Slater to assist.
As stalker Theo also arrived in the house, Eve chucked him out in dramatic scenes, saving the day so Stacey could focus solely on her teenage daughter.
But dad Martin Fowler couldn't bear to be witness to the monumental moment. "She's a baby, having a baby," Martin sobbed on the stairs.
The emotional scenes left viewers in tears as they praised young actress Lillia Turner for her amazing performance.
"Wow what fantastic acting from Stacey and Lily #Eastenders," one person tweeted.
Another fan shared: "Don’t think i’ve ever said this before but i’m saying it now #LilliaTurner for all the #awards #Eastenders All the rest of it, superb.
"She’s the star since birthing act is the most #real i’ve ever watched bar none!"
"#EastEnders always provide the most comical birth scenes. Another 10/10 performance," a third person posted.
But in true EastEnders fashion, the emotional scenes were quickly diffused when Stacey cried: "Oh Lily, I can't believe you made a baby, you can't even make toast!"
Other viewers felt uncomfortable watching the hard-hitting plot, as they struggled with the concept of such a young girl giving birth.
"I severely doubt any 12 year old in the country would think having a kid was a good idea. Yikes #Eastenders #Lily," one person commented.
Others were thrilled to be able to watch iconic Slater character Stacey as a grandmother on the soap, with fans joking she would become "Nana Stacey".
"This is the eastenders i love, so much going on at once – lillia turner and lacey and gillian are brilliant #EastEnders," another person added.
Time will tell how well Lily will cope being such a young mum, as she even asked her own "what do I do now" while gazing into her adorable tiny tot's eyes.
The character also showed her age when she decided to name the little girl Charli after pop star Charli XCX, in emotional scenes as Stacey and the rest of the family wrongly assumed it was after Kat Slater's dad Charlie.
EastEnders continues Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One
