Alfie goes to The Vic to tell people he got the job
EastEnders fans think they’ve spotted “telling” clues indicating Alfie Moon (played by Shane Richie) and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) will get back together.
The iconic duo first got together on the BBC soap way back in 2003 and have since faced an on-off marriage and relationship.
Alfie gave up on winning Kat back last year after he made a surprise return to Walford and the idea of them having a reunion hasn’t been mentioned for a while.
However, Tuesday’s episode saw Alfie talking to Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) about why he stopped trying to force a reunion with his ex-wife, and later Kat was delighted for Alfie as he celebrated finally landing a new job.
Many flocked to social media to predict the pair would soon reunite, with Twitter user @Emflem01 writing: “Kat is BEAMING. Now please fix this #Eastenders and get Kat and Alfie back together #Kalfie.”

Alfie was fed up as he explained to Kat and Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) earlier in the episode that he’d still not had any luck with his job hunt.
The two urged him to keep trying and Kat promised him something would come up.
Later, Alfie had been lending an ear to Sharon as she confided in him about trying to convince Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) to get back together with her.
Alfie explained he’d tried desperately to win Kat’s affection back from her new finance Phil Mitchel (Steve McFadden).

There was cause for celebration later though when Alfie announced in The Vic that he’d got a job at the bookies.
“You never!” Kat smiled before Alfie explained he’d be starting tomorrow.
As Freddie hugged him and Patrick celebrated with him, Kat looked delighted as she beamed: “I’ll have one and all, I told you something would turn up didn’t I? Because us Slaters have got psychic powers.”
Could the troubled couple finally get back together for good?
EastEnders continues on Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
