EastEnders’ Gray confesses to Tina’s murder and reveals gruesome details

EastEnders took a turn on Wednesday night when evil Gray Atkins confessed to killing Tina Carter.

Last week, Gray (Toby Alexander-Smith) was finally captured for his extensive crimes, which include murdering his first wife Chantelle, played by Jessica Plummer, as well as Tina and Kush Kazemi.

In Wednesday’s episode (16 March) Zack Hudson begged police officer Callum Highway to get some inside information about the case to put the families at ease.

After some convincing, Callum opened up and told him that Gray had told the police (off-screen) that he killed Tina.

Zack was later seen telling Tina’s sister, Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) and Mick (Danny Dyer) that Gray had confessed to her murder.

As viewers of the hit BBC One soap already know, Gray strangled Tina to death in December 2020 after she accused him of murdering Chantelle.

However, there were new grim details that Zack relayed to the grieving family. He told them that Gray had wrapped Tina’s body in a shower curtain and put her in the boot of his car.

Mick was disturbed to remember that he had spoken to Gray on that fatal night and realised that Tina must have been in the boot the whole time.

Shirley took comfort in knowing that Tina’s suffering was over quickly, but Mick was disturbed by the fact that he was so close by just moments after her murder.

Mick broke down in tears with Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) who tried to comfort him in his grief. After revealing the gruesome nature of her death to Janine, he recollected on happier memories with Tina.

Now that Gray has started to confess to his hideous crimes, it’s unclear what else the police will uncover and how the families involved will cope with the news.
