EastEnders' Max Bowden 'doesn't know what to do' as his best pal fights for his life in Mexico after Covid complications

EASTENDERS star Max Bowden has said he "doesn't know what to do" as his best friend continues to fight for his life in Mexico following coronavirus complications.

The 26-year-old actor has begged fans to donate to a GoFundMe page for top celebrity agent Terry Mills, 38, who is fighting for his life in a hospital in Cancun, Mexico.

Taking to his Instagram Story, Max shared a photo of himself beaming next to Terry on a night out as he told fans: "My best friend is fighting for his life and I don't know what to do.

"Please help if you can. Please."

It comes one day after he'd written in another passionate social media post, which read: "One of my best friends is currently battling Covid in Mexico and the medical bills are racking up.

"He is incredibly vulnerable and I am so scared that if we can’t raise enough money we could lose him.

"I am begging you, please, give what you can to the link in my bio. I don’t know what to do right now and we need all the help we can get so please share and give what you can."

The Ben Mitchell actor has already donated £500 to the fundraiser, with Kate Ferdinand also among the big-hearted stars to have put their hands in their pockets – donating £1,000.

The fundraiser was started on Sunday morning and has already raised of the £100,000 target.

Terry Mills is one of the best known and beloved celebrity agents in the business, looking after the likes of Towie star Yazmin Oukhellou, Gogglebox’s Amy Tapper, and Callum Izzard from ITV2’s Ibiza Weekender.

His friend Sarah set up the GoFundMe, where she explained that Terry was struck down with Covid, which has now developed into pneumonia, while on a business trip to Mexico.

Sarah went on to explain that Terry’s insurance does not cover beyond the first 24 hours and his family have been told his best chance of survival is to be placed in an induced coma.

Terry is currently receiving oxygen and antibiotics but his condition has worsened, and doctors have said he has to be put on a ventilator for his best chance of survival.

Sarah wrote: “We’re frightened. We want to be there holding Terry's hand but we're not allowed and we need to raise another £100,000 within the next ten days to pay for this life-saving treatment.”

Terry’s friends are hoping to raise enough money to get him the medical care he needs and bring him home.

Other EastEnders stars to have supported the cause include Natalie Cassidy, Letitia Dean, and Gillian Taylforth.
