EASTENDERS' Mel Owen grabs a gun while son Hunter reaches for a kitchen knife as they both confront bigamist Ray Kelly in the wedding aftermath in a new trailer.
Mel – played by Tamzin Outhwaite – has been plotting revenge on her unsuspecting fiance for weeks after she discovered he has a secret wife and family.
The character is planning to reveal all on their wedding day, and now the BBC soap has dropped a gripping new trailer for the New Year's episodes.
Despite saying a 'New Year a New Us' to Ray at the start of the trailer, Mel soon starts putting her plan into action.
Hunter is then seen confronting Ray, saying: "You said mum was the only one for you."
The footage then cuts to Mel saying Ray had tried to kill her, before fans catch a glimpse of the bride and groom in some woods in the dark with Ray saying: "That's your fault".
Mel is then seen screaming before the action returns to Hunter back on Albert Square.
As he glances to the side, Ray tells him: "There's two sides to every story son", before Hunter reaches for a kitchen knife on the counter.
The teen is then seen screaming at his mother – still in her wedding dress – to drive as they climb into a car in the woods.
Mel is also seen grabbing a gun out of the nightclub's office, before the action returns to the kitchen where Hunter tells Ray: "You're twisting things."
