EASTENDERS star Gurlaine Kaur Garcha has revealed her heartbreaking link to Lola Pearce's brain tumour storyline.
The stunning actress – who plays Ash Panesar on the BBC One soap – said she was left emotional after learning about Danielle Harold's exit storyline, after her uncle sadly passed away from a brain tumour.
It was revealed that Lola will die from the terminal diagnosis in tear-jerking scenes.
TV favourite Gurlaine, 29, said she was proud of Danielle for handling the storyline with sensitivity and grace.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Gurlaine said: "I am so sad to see Danielle Harold leave, she is an incredible person and an incredible actress.
"She showed me around on my very first day and her dressing room is down the corridor from mine, she is so lovely and will be missed."

"Danielle is a talented actress, and I can't wait for people to see that side to her, as she's going to go on a real journey.
"The show has been working with a brain tumour charity to ensure the story is told the right way and she has handled the emotional scenes really well; we are all really proud of her."
The Sun revealed earlier this month how actress Danielle was in tears after being axed from the BBC1 flagship show.
Script bosses wrestled over whether the single mum character will die from a brain tumour or a car crash.
But now the scripts have been 'locked in' after an EastEnders team emphasised the impact of The Wanted star Tom Parker's devastating passing.
An Albert Square insider said: “EastEnders are desperate to make headlines and drive viewing figures with explosive plotlines, and Lola’s exit will have diehard fans in bits. It will be a compulsive watch.
“But eyebrows will be raised at the internal discussions over Tom Parker’s untimely death. Some people were left uncomfortable that the inspiration for boosting viewing figures came from such a real-life tragedy.”
The Sun told how Danielle, 29, met with bosses after her contract had just six months left to run.
She was expecting to discuss an extension, but instead heard the shocking news she was being forced out.
The move is part of sweeping changes being made at EastEnders by new executive producer Chris Clenshaw in a bid to stop viewers leaving in droves.
