Emily Atack says she gets ‘nervous’ on TV as she’s scared of getting cancelled

Emily Atack has admitted that she gets "really nervous" appearing on live television as she's scared of getting cancelled.

The 31-year-old Celebrity Juice captain said that she's frightened of accidentally saying the wrong thing in front of the cameras, which could lead to her being faced with a public lashing.

Speaking to BBC's The One Show on Monday night (27 September), host Alex Scott revealed that Emily had told her backstage that she gets nervous about live TV.

Alex said: "Do you know what I find super fascinating, because people think of a comedian, you're up on stage, that you're super-confident but you were just saying before that you get super nervous."

Emily replied: "I get really [nervous] on live TV because it's that thing of like going 'don't say anything naughty, don't say anything naughty, don't get cancelled, don't get cancelled'.

"And I'm very naughty so yeah, it's that thing of going… you don't wanna say the wrong thing.

"We're all kind of under the microscope now, aren't we?"
