Emmerdale actor Mark Jordon denies biting pensioner during pub row after arriving at court with co-star girlfriend

Jordon, 53, pleaded not guilty to attacking pensioner Andy Potts, 67, on July 1.

Mr Potts claims he was savaged three times by the soap actor – including once in the face.

Jordon is charged with GBH and common assault.

He arrived at Tameside Magistrates' Court with girlfriend and co-star Laura Norton to enter a not guilty plea.

The actor – who also starred in TV's Heartbeat – spoke only to confirm his name, address, date of birth, and nationality.

Jordon, 53 — who plays ex-squaddie Daz Spencer —  reportedly faces the axe if found guilty. GBH convictions often carry jail terms.

The case was sent to Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, where Jordon will next appear on December 6.

He was granted unconditional bail.

Jordon was arrested after the alleged attack in Oldham, Gtr Manchester.

Police later confirmed: “Jordon is charged with GBH and common assault.”

The dad of two, formerly PC Phil Bellamy in ITV’s Heartbeat, joined Emmerdale in 2014.

He is dating Ms Norton, 35, who plays Kerry Wyatt.
