Emmerdale 's Charity Dingle is heading for heartbreak as she is set to discover what her fiancé Mackenzie Boyd has been up to.
Last year, shortly after discovering Charity had lost their baby, Mack sought comfort with Chloe Harris and wound up getting her pregnant after a one night stand.
But while Charity remains blissfully unaware of her partner's infidelity, fans can't help but think back to Vanessa Woodfield, Charity's ex girlfriend.

Their relationship was a huge hit with fans, with many believing Vanessa is Charity's soulmate and one true love.
Despite Charity and Vanessa not being in a relationship for some time, fans have been longing for the pair to reunite ever since their breakup.
Mack exposed
Fans will remember that Charity and Vanessa's relationship came to an end because she was unfaithful with Mack.
But now the tables have turned as Mack's one night stand with Chloe is finally set to be exposed after being kept a secret for several months.
Emmerdale bosses confirmed there will be huge repercussions for all characters involved which will continue for more than a year.
This has led fans to speculate that once Charity discovers Mack's betrayal, it could lead her straight into the arms of her ex-fiancé Vanessa.
Vanessa return
Vanessa, played by Michelle Hardwick, hasn't been seen in the Dales since November 2022 after deciding to take a job in Canada following her split with Suzy Merton.
The character said a temporary goodbye to the village as actress Michelle went on maternity leave after welcoming a daughter with her Emmerdale producer partner Kate Brooks.
This means Vanessa will likely return later in the year, and fans believe it is exactly what Charity needs.
One social media user penned: "Gonna need Vanessa to come back home and get Charity away from Mackenzie. Hate him [so much]."
Another person wrote: "Bring back Vanessa for Charity, or introduce a new character for Charity to have her happy ever after. This toxic rubbish she's constantly dealt is mental."
"Charity needs Vanessa [right now]," exclaimed someone else.
True soulmates
Emmerdale fans have made it no secret of their love for "Vanity" and are certain the two are true soulmates.
In a recent episode, viewers were left enraged when Sarah told Mack that Charity has never loved anyone like she loves him.
Viewers suggested that this was incorrect, with many claiming Charity no doubt loved Vanessa more than anyone.
Their outrage led many to accuse producers of trying to wipe away Vanity's history.
Taking to social media, one user wrote: "Now Sarah is doing the whole 'she's never loved anyone as much as you.' Yeah, right! I'd argue both Vanessa and Cain Charity loved more than Mack. Emmerdale is losing so many with this total lack of continuity and their 'let's push Mack and Charity and erase Vanity agenda'."
Another fumed: "Charity loves Mackenzie more than anyone? Emmerdale just completely erasing how much Charity actually loved Vanessa!! Disgusting! Glad I’ve skipped so much about these two!"
Echoing this, a third added: "Producers at Emmerdale… can you please explain wtf you are doing with this storyline. No one loved charity more than Vanessa."
"So Sarah's now also forgotten how much Charity loved Vanessa. This programme has completely rewritten 2018/2020 as if vanity never existed. Can't believe how low the producers have stooped to promote Mack," shared another user.
Someone else fumed: "It is absolutely despicable what these producers are doing… I just can't believe they are treating Vanity like they never existed."
Another tweeted: "It's tiring watching Charity and Mack knowing that Vanessa's the love of her life and this whole 'thing' is going precisely nowhere."
Emma Atkins
Emmerdale fans have been waiting patiently for a Vanity reunion and it seems Charity actress Emma Atkins also sees a future for the pair.
Discussing the aftermath of Charity and Mackenzie losing their baby last year, the actress mused about whether she could see the couple lasting.
While she wasn't so sure, it reminded the 47-year-old of Charity's relationship with Vanessa as she admitted she believed their love was for keeps.
"I always thought that Charity and Vanessa would go the distance and I reckon that’s yet to be further explored," Emma revealed. "I think there’s unfinished business there."
