Emmerdale viewers seem to think Eric Pollard will end up on his own after he painfully dumped his partner Brends Walker during the latest episode.
On Tuesday night (November 7), Eric was devastated when a doctor told him that he has Parkinson's disease. Trying to keep his diagnosis a secret, Eric was later comforted by a distressed Mandy Dingle who assisted him during his hospital visit.
But although Mandy begged Eric to tell Brenda what he was going through, Eric wanted to keep his health condition under wraps. Instead, when he returned home he told Brenda that he wanted to end their relationship immediately.

Trying to understand the reason for his abrupt change in behaviour, Brenda was evidently confused. But Eric continued to make matters worse by telling Brenda he never loved her.
Eric said: "You want to know the full ugly truth? You have always compared yourself unfavourably with [ex-wife] Val and even [ex-partner] Faith."
Brenda then tried to explain that she had always told her she was wrong to, but Eric brutally said: "I was lying. You don't hold a candle to either of them. It's not that there's anything wrong between us, it's that there's never been anything right."
Seeing his heartless display, fans warned Eric to "stop". Taking to X formerly known as Twitter, one viewer wrote: "Eric stop it right now! You will end up on you’re own. You’re pushing people away. You need these people."
Another penned: "This is all going to backfire in Eric's face. Cause when she finds out, which she will, she will think Eric doesn't love her enough to think their relationship can handle anything throw at them."
A third said: "Sadly Eric is pushing everyone away when he will need them." While a fourth added: "Oh Eric that’s cruel."
But other viewers appeared to be annoyed with the fact that Eric's diagnosis has become a huge secret storyline and took to X to complain. One spectator wrote: "The same old boring 'I've got a terminal illness and I don't want to tell anyone about it' storyline."
And another fumed: Oh FFS Mandy go tell Brenda the truth about Eric. He might be pissed off at u but then he won't be alone. Not sure Emmerdale bosses know what reality is."
According to the National Institute on Aging, Parkinson's disease is a brain disorder that causes unintended or uncontrollable movements. This is includes shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with balance and coordination.
