AFTER resisting Gabby Thomas' questionable seduction tactics, nanny Nicky allowed himself to be wooed.

But the pair's raunchy encounter left Emmerdale fans cringing in front of their screens.

Gabby (portrayed by Rosie Bentham) has been pining after Nicky (Lewis Cope) for months and was over the moon when he admitted the attraction was mutual.

But in an attempt to keep his career intact, he refused to embark on a romance with her, prompting the young mother to fire him in a strange bid to bed to him.

Last night, however, Gabby's tactics seemed to have paid off.

Steamy scenes showed the aftermath of the pair getting intimate on Kim Tate's sofa in Home Farm as they decided to keep their affair secret to save Nicky from losing his job.

The hunk was seen topless with nothing but socks and pants on, covered by bed sheets while Gabby was all loved-up and leaning in for a smooch.

But while they were expecting the lovebirds to finally make a move, ITV viewers turned to the sick bucket as they admitted on Twitter that Gabby and Nick were giving them "the ick."

"Gabby and Nicky giving me the ick", one of them penned while another took a dig at their clear eagerness to rip each other's clothes off: "Gabby and Nicky might as well just have sex in the woolpack , I'm surprised they haven't gone to the pavilion it's where everyone goes."

"This f***ing relationship between Gabby and Nicky is the cringiest sh** EVER!!!!", a third soap fan fumed.

Another viewer made the assumption that Nicky must have kept his socks on during the act and complained: "Ugh. The manny kept his socks on!"

Meanwhile in soap land, Gabby and Nicky relished in their moment with the latter telling the young mother: "You'll get me in trouble, you know that!"

Gabby responded: "Well you're the one who made the booty call."

But as soon as they both agreed to, at the very least, try to make it upstairs for their next romp, Gabby heard Kim Tate (Claire King) come back into Home Farm.

This left her to improvise and she pretended she was feeling sick on the sofa while Nicky hid behind it.

Could this have major consequences for the pair?

Is Nicky hiding something other than his romance with Gabby?
