Emmerdale has revealed a first look at Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden’s possible proposal scene.
Last week, it was revealed that a romantic new storyline will see loved-up Aaron and Robert plan to pop the question – with both unaware of the other’s plans.
While viewers will have to wait to see exactly how it all plays out in the next few days, these new spoiler pictures from next week seem to suggest that Aaron will be getting in there first.
In scenes due to air on Monday (July 30), Aaron’s sister Liv and mum Chas both come up with a plan to help him propose to Robert.
The new pictures show Aaron and Robert spending an intimate moment alone on the road, where they first kissed when their relationship began in 2014.
Unsurprisingly, Emmerdale bosses aren’t revealing too much else about the scenes just yet, keeping us guessing about whether the proposal will go as planned.
Robert and Aaron tied the knot in an unofficial ceremony at the garage last year, but show bosses have always planned to give them a second wedding.
Speaking to Digital Spy in January about the upcoming occasion, Danny Miller – who plays Aaron – revealed: “I’m looking forward to getting the scripts first, as I genuinely have no idea what it’s going to be like! The company is so busy with creating storylines and writing scripts, so it’s not always easy to have meetings and chats with people upstairs to hear exactly what’s going to happen.
“So I’ll be very intrigued to find out what the wedding is going to be like. I feel like a little bit of a fan myself at the moment, awaiting these scripts, just like people are waiting for them to come on the screen. I’m sure there’ll be a couple of surprises in there.”
Meanwhile, Ryan Hawley – who plays Robert – told us at the British Soap Awards in June: “I’ve just been asked if there’s going to be a wedding between Aaron and Robert and in the coming weeks there’s going to be an answer to that question, so I’m sure people will be looking forward to that.”
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, July 30 at 7pm on ITV.
