Fiona Wade will reportedly leave Emmerdale after 11 years playing Priya Sharma in the ITV soap. The news comes after the deaths of three beloved characters on the show including Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter), Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) and Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele).

Priya’s role as village wedding planner was central to last week’s devastating storm stunt.

Kim Tate (Claire King) and Will Taylor’s (Dean Andrews) nuptials were at the centre of the 50th anniversary week.

Priya organised the big day and will be sorely missed in the village.

However, after joining the soap as Priya in 2011, The Sun has reported Fiona will be leaving the role.

Express.co.uk have contacted Emmerdale for comment.

Priya has been at the centre of several hard-hitting storylines over the years.

The characters battle with an eating disorder has been revisited numerous times.

Meanwhile, her role at Take A Vow has seen her plan some of the Emmerdale’s most explosive occasions.

In recent scenes, Priya has battled problems with her confidence after being scarred in the maze fire.

The storyline saw her keep her body image issues to herself as she struggled to open up to her family and friends.

However, she struck up a sweet friendship with Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) in the process of recovery.

She promised him she would have her scars on show if he walked down the aisle on his wedding day.

In touching scenes, the pair both stuck to their side of the deal.

Elsewhere, the storm fallout continues in the village this week as the residents try to move on.

Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) is determined to do whatever it takes to keep her affair with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) secret.

Instead of being honest with her son Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), she emotionally blackmails him into backing down and leaving the village.

Concerns for Samson Dingle (Sam Hill) grow as the missing teenager is nowhere to be found.

Emmerdale fans will know the youngster is buried in the forest after being caught up in the storm.

Will he be found on time or will he become the third victim of the deadly weather event?

Emmerdale airs on ITV on weekdays at 7pm.
