Things take an unexpected turn for Amelia and Dan in Emmerdale next week, as their increasing fear of their futures forces them to make rash decisions.

But will their plan to escape with baby Esther be the right thing to do?

During the week, despite Dan trying his best to plan for her future, Amelia is convinced that she needs to take another route and go on the run!

Not sure about the idea, Dan protests at her plan, but Amelia is insistent they can escape to Ireland in order to stay as a family.

The following day, Amelia is stressed about losing her dad to prison and almost accidentally hurts Esther as a result.

When Dan saves them at the last second, both are scared to know they will be losing each other relatively soon.

Seeing his daughter's increasing fear and being overwhelmingly scared of prison, Dan comes round to the idea of running away with her.

The next day, a desperate Dan corners Cain and asks for his help to flee the country.

When Dan is able to win Cain over he agrees and soon Dan confirms to Amelia their escape plan will go ahead but reminding her she cannot tell anyone including Noah.

Amelia is scared of what's to come but determined to do this with her father.

Later on, Cain presents Dan and Amelia with ferry tickets, an old car and a burner phone for their planned escape to Ireland.

As things come together, everything is suddenly very real for the father and daughter.

They share a sad smile about leaving Emmerdale and set off as a three.

But have they made the right decision and should Dan face the music for his one-punch misdemeanour?
