Emmerdale is in for a period of drama next week as Sarah Sugden could be set to expose Mackenzie Boyd and Chloe Harris' baby secret before potentially dying in hospital.

Fans of the hit ITV soap opera will remember that Mackenzie and Chloe had a fling last year following an argument he had with Charity Dingle after she tragically lost her baby.

But, despite telling Chloe to leave him alone and explaining that he loves Charity, their one night of passion came back to haunt him as Chloe revealed that she is pregnant with his baby.

Since then, Charity has invited Chloe to stay with them after she collapsed and was rushed to hospital – all while being unaware that Mackenzie cheated on her.

And things only get worse as Sarah overhears Mackenzie and Chloe talking about their secret baby.

Just as Mackanzie prepares to tell everything to Charity, Sarah comes down the stairs, struggling to breathe and Charity instructs him to call an ambulance as the teenager hyperventilates.

Later, at the hospital, Charity fears the worst – believing Sarah could be dying – given her medical history as a guilty Mackenzie supports her. And when a doctor walks purposefully towards them, Charity is left terrified, knowing there’s news…

Elsewhere, Paddy Kirk isn’t exactly over the moon when father Bear sets up a double date with two women and his mood doesn’t improve when he and ex Chas Dingle argue after she shares some flirty banter with the drayman.

Mandy Dingle spots Paddy’s upset and the pair end up sharing a bottle of wine. As they laugh and reminisce together, will one thing lead to another?

Also, with Greg trying to discredit Ethan Anderson over his complaint, Ethan comes close to throwing in the towel and quitting his job. However, Naomi comes up with a plan and ropes in a reluctant Nate as a honeytrap for Greg.

Later, Nathan catches Greg’s eye in a bar. As they chat, Nate is secretly recording the conversation, hoping Greg will give himself away.

Elsewhere, Brenda Walker tells Bob Hope that Cathy has gone on the pill to help relieve her periods. However, Cathy can’t deal with it when Bob tries to sympathise and ruins her own birthday party in a rage.

Also, Samson Dingle is intrigued when he hears that Noah Dingle's trust fund is being transferred to baby Esther.
