Emmerdale bad boy Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) is currently serving a prison sentence for killing Al Chapman (Michael Wildman). However, only a few people know the truth and that it was Cain’s son Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) who shot Al. The only other people who are aware of what happened are Cain’s love Moira (Natalie J Robb) and Kyle’s mum Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson), who both have made a pact to keep it a secret.
Although, it seems Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) is becoming suspicious and is adamant about discovering the truth.
According to official ITV spoilers, Matty visits Cain in prison so that he can question the mechanic about that day.
In upcoming scenes, Matty is determined to find out the truth about Amy and Moira and is determined to get to the bottom of Cain’s reasoning for killing Al, despite Chas’ (Lucy Pargeter) attempts to divert his attention.
Chas is left freaking out when Matty reveals he’s got a visiting order to see Cain.
In the Prison Visitors Room, Matty tells Cain his case but is instantly shot down.
As Cain leaves, he’s relieved to have put Matty’s suspicions to bed but unbeknownst to him.
However, little does he know that Matty doesn’t believe a word that Cain has said.
Chas is unaware of Matty’s real intentions about getting to the bottom of Al’s death.
The barmaid seems to think he is trying to find out who the mystery woman Al was having an affair with.
Cain is one of the only people aware of the sordid affair, and the barmaid is worried her brother will spill the beans to Matty to get revenge.
During scenes that aired on Tuesday night, Cain fumed at Chas when she broke down in tears about Al.
“Every single day I miss my kids,” Cain raged at his sister. “The life I used to have and you come in here whining on about yourself.”
Referencing Al’s death, he continued: “I wouldn’t have had to if you felt that little of Paddy that you went and slept with Al.
“You didn’t think much of mum either, did you? Otherwise you wouldn’t have been in that hotel in bed with Al when she died.
“If I didn’t think this would kill Paddy, I’d tell him exactly what kind of person you are.
“Don’t come and visit me again because you are as dead to me as our mother.”
Matty isn’t the only cause for concern for Chas because Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) has been trying to expose Al’s affair.
At first, she believed it was Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade), and she even kidnapped her daughter to try and get information out of her.
Another name Chloe has thrown into the mix is Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb), who no longer lives in the village.
The newcomer is getting closer to finding out the truth, and it’s only a matter of time before it does come out.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
