Emmerdale's Paddy Kirk star Dominic Brunt spoke about his new werewolf movie, Wolf Manor, on Thursday.
The actor, 52, who has played loveable vet Paddy since 1997, appeared on the latest episode of Loose Women to discuss his surprising side project away from the ITV soap.
Paddy spoke about his most recent movie, Wolf Manor, which he directed and stars Four Weddings and a Funeral actor James Fleet.
While special makeup effects star, Shaune Harrison, who has worked on Star Wars, Harry Potter and The Avengers was also involved too.
A synopsis for the movie reads: "Shooting a vampire movie in an old abandoned house should have worked like a dream.
"However, with the full moon, the nightmare begins. The body count rises as the cast and crew encounter the mansion's resident werewolf."
Discussing the project on Thursday's Loose Women, Dominic said: "I've directed four or five horror movies, few shorts and this one came across – the script was very very funny, therefore it got the funding for it.
"I had the chance to work with James Fleet, who is just a dream gentleman, very very funny but then there's the gore in it.
"Working with Shaune Harrison, who has done Star Wars, Harry Potter and Avengers. So I was really grateful!"
Dominic added that the preparation and post production took months but the actual filming was 3.5 weeks, which all took place between 9pm to 6am.
The actor joked that after filming finished at 6am, everyone would crack open a gin and tonic to watch the sun come up.
Dominic also hinted that he makes a sneaky cameo in the movie and he worked with his wife, Joanne Mitchell, who has also starred on Emmerdale and served as a producer on Wolf Manor.
However, despite his impressive directing credits, the actor has insisted he's not going anywhere on the ITV soap.
Dominic said: "My loyalties lie with Emmerdale, they really do…. I'm happy with Emmerdale, and I love it."
