FREDDIE Flintoff could start filming to return to TV screens in weeks after his horror Top Gear crash.
The former cricketer, 45, was left with horrific wounds on his face last year after the crash while filming for BBC show Top Gear.
Freddie was not wearing a helmet when he flipped the motor on the first bend of a track at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome, Surrey last December.
Now, the England legend has made the move to return to screens come 2024 after his family begged him to take time out to recover.
Freddie is heading back to his roots for a new show revolving around his beloved cricket.
He is set to make a second series of Field of Dreams, the BBC1 documentary in which he introduced kids in his home city of Preston to the joys of the sport.

The father-of-four petrolhead could also revive the stalled Chasing Cars for BBC2, a renovations show described as “The Repair Shop meets Top Gear”.
He is also in discussions with producers about other projects.
A TV insider told The Sun: “Freddie is a hugely popular TV star and any channel or streamer would be thrilled to sign up one of his shows.
“His return to the limelight is something both telly execs and the public have been longing for and thankfully he now seems ready to return to doing what he loves.

“He just needs to get past the one year anniversary of the crash, then he can focus on the next chapter of his career.
"He’s already in talks about what he wants to work on in 2024 and beyond.”
Freddie, quizzed on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories in 2014, may choose to be interviewed on the physical and psychological struggles he has faced dealing with his injuries.
The Sun last week revealed Top Gear will not be returning after Freddie’s accident.
He was airlifted to hospital after a three-wheeler Morgan Super 3 he was driving without a helmet flipped over at just 22mph at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey.
Top Gear, which he hosted with Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris, filmed its stunts and test drives there.
But after the crash some Top Gear staff were left so traumatised that they needed counselling.
