The Great British Bake Off fans went wild over Noel Fielding's outfit during Tuesday's episode as they likened it to iconic children's puzzle books "Where's Wally?"

During the latest instalment, Noel, 48, wore a red-and-white striped jumper which drew comparisons to the legendary book character's signature top.

Noel, who is known for his wonderful and eccentric outfits on the show, was even teased by the contestants in the Bake Off tent over his look with the TV star even adding a red hat later in the episode as they joked: "There he is!"

While Channel 4 tweeted: "Move over @whereswally it's #WheresNoel? Bake Off is starting right now on Channel 4. #GBBO @BritishBakeOff."

With the official GBBO Twitter even creating a hilarious image called "Where's Noel?"

Taking to Twitter, show watchers shared their amusement over the outfit as they insisted that they were "here for it".

One person said: "Howling at Noel Fielding dressed as Where’s Wally #GBBO #BakeOff."

A different account put: "Whatever sweater Noel wears it's one that I want in my wardrobe. Even this where's Wally-esque one!! #GBBO @BritishBakeOff."

Another follower joked: "Took me a while but I found him, I've circled him for anyone else struggling. #WheresNoel #GBBO."

While a different fan gushed: "Liking Noel Fielding's Where's Wally look #gbbo."

The Great British Bake Off returned last month and so far the show has had Cake Week, Biscuit Week and Tuesday's instalment was Bread Week.

The first episode saw software developer Tom, 28, from Kent, fail to impress the judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with his "disaster" lemon and almond classically spectacular showstopper cake, which unfortunately didn't go to plan.

While last week's instalment saw Jairzeno the second contestant to be eliminated after his showstopper didn't go to plan.

During the episode, the bakers had to create a 3D biscuit replica of their favourite childhood toy to which Jairzeno decided to create a tall ship.

However, after it crumbled and a sail appeared to fall away, Jairzeno left judges Paul and Prue unimpressed.

Talking after his creation fell apart, the contestant joked: "Oh no, it's more like a shipwreck than a ship!"

The Great British Bake Off continues on Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4.
