GIOVANNI Pernice’s ex Luba Mushtuk liked his post about splitting from Ashley Roberts, just one minute after he posted it.

Yesterday the Strictly pro shocked fans when he announced it was over with the Pussycat Dolls singer after a year of dating – and Luba wasted no time in supporting him.

He wrote: "@ImAshleyRoberts and I have made the decision to separate as a couple. We remain friends and wish each other well for the future."

Eagle-eyed followers spotted that just moments after he broke the news, Luba made her feelings clear by liking it.

Giovanni and Luba dated in 2017 after being close friends for many years – and it was reported that she struggled with his tight bond with Debbie McGee, who he was parented with that year on the show.

A source said at the time:  "Luba and Giovanni are together. But she doesn't like Debbie because of their bond – she feels how much Gio cares for her.

“It's also upsetting as she would like their romance to be out in the open. Luba is very keen to be on the show one day. She assists with choreography.

“But that means she has to spend a lot of time watching Giovanni rehearse with Debbie, which can be uncomfortable for her."

In 2019 Luba got her wish and was partnered with James Cracknell on the show .

Giovanni started dating Ashley in 2018 after growing close when she appeared on the show.

The couple then officially confirmed their romance on December 31, 2018, when they shared a public kiss outside a club in Miami.

Since then, Strictly fans have enjoyed witnessing their blossoming romance in photos on Instagram, and last May, smitten dancer Giovanni shared a gushing snap of the pair locking lips.

He wrote the caption: "I never thought anyone would ever make me smile, laugh and steal my heart as fast as you did !! I love you amore."

Ashley, 38, is yet to comment on the split but has been busy promoting the Pussycat Dolls new single REACT and their upcoming UK Arena tour.
