James Cleverly joined Good Morning Britain to discuss Boris Johnson’s pledge in a virtual G7 meeting later this week to donate the UK’s surplus vaccine supply to poorer countries. Charlotte Hawkins and Alex Beresford also quizzed the politician on the Prime Minister’s roadmap out of lockdown but the show was thrown into chaos when Cleverly disappeared due to a technical blunder.

Half way through the interview, Cleverly’s screen went black and the presenters were left calling for him to return.

“He’s gone!” Alex cried out before the politician reappeared again.

Charlotte remarked: “Oh he’s back I thought you were leaving.”

“You’re playing with our emotions,” Alex commented and his co-host added: “We’ve still got time with you don’t go anywhere just yet.”
