Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins found it difficult to hold back her tears as she spoke about the loss of her dog, Bailey.
On Friday's show (August 18) Charlotte and her co-host Adil Ray discussed the illegal act of cropping dogs ears with Adil labelling the procedure as "disgusting".
But as they focused on the subject of dogs, Adil asked Charlotte, 48, about her recent tragedy, however the star found it difficult to share her story while stating that it often "hits" her hard.
She said: I got her at four months old when she was just a puppy and she was just the sweetest, loveliest dog.
"She cured a lot of people of fear of dogs, she was one in a million. It's hit me really hard!"
Adil chimed: "I can imagine!"
