GMB's Charlotte Hawkins reunites with daughter after battling Covid

Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins has revealed she was forced to isolate away from her young daughter Ella Rose while she battled Covid.

The presenter revealed she had cold-like symptoms and spent quarantine away from her loved ones for 10 days until she recovered from the illness.

Sharing a picture of the heartwarming moment she was able to reunite with her daughter on Sunday, Charlotte wrote: ‘So I finally get to hug this one after isolating for 10 days with covid..I missed it SO much! Feeling very lucky I only had cold-like symptoms.’

Charlotte also confirmed that she’ll be returning to the ITV daytime programme from Monday after being away for one week.

‘Looking forward to being back with @ClassicFM tonight 7-9pm plus @gmb tomorrow from 6am,’ she continued.

Concluding her post, Charlotte added: ‘Sending love to all those isolating right now.’

Fans were glad Charlotte had returned to full health and shared their well wishes on social media.

‘Oh so sorry to hear that Charlotte, we’ve all had Covid recently, not nice,’ one wrote. ‘Glad you’re on the mend.’

‘Glad you’re okay,’ another added.

Good Morning Britain was plagued with technical issues last week, with viewers being shown the wrong local news updates.

On Thursday, presenters Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway noted the ongoing mishap on the ITV daytime programme and apologised for the errors as complaints appeared online.

‘Lots of you getting in touch because unfortunately for some reason, the local news that you were just enjoying perhaps might have been from a different region to where you’re waking up this morning,’ Ben noted.

‘Apologies for that.’

He continued: ‘We’ll try and sort that out to make sure you get the correct news for your region.’

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
