Good Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley was left telling his co-star to “do her job” in an awkward swipe live on-air.
The ITV show returned for another instalment on Wednesday (October 25) with Richard and Kate back at the helm. But things soon took an awkward turn when the hosts checked in with the show’s meteorologist Laura Tobin.
“Laura is at a pumpkin park in West Sussex, hunting amid the pumpkins,” Kate said. Laura then appeared on the screen live from the pumpkin park – surrounded by pumpkins.

“Has she found one bigger than mine?” Kate quizzed, to which Laura replied: “Apparently this one is three times my head.” She then showed the hosts her impressive pumpkin.
Kate added: “Compare it with mine,” and a picture of Kate holding a very large pumpkin appeared on the screen. She quipped: “Oh sorry I think mine still tips it.”
She then told Laura: “Keep hunting, and also tell us the weather!” Richard then chimed in and quipped: “Yeah, do your job!”
After giving viewers a rundown of the weather, Richard and Kate were still discussing Kate’s gigantic pumpkin. So much so, Richard decided to take the matter into his own hands in a bid to beat her.

“Next week, I’m bringing in a pumpkin. I’m taking on the pumpkin challenge!” He warned. Kate asked him: “Where are you going to go?” He replied: “I don’t know. The moon if I have too.” Kate then quipped: “The hunt starts now.”
In other GMB news, the show has faced a major shake-up this week, following Susanna Reid's exit. The TV favourite normally hosts the ITV show from Monday to Thursday.
However, last week she announced her departure – confirming she would be away for a while to spend time with her family during half-term. And as expected, on Monday (October 23) Susanna was missing from the show – with Kate stepping in.
Susanna revealed last week she was taking a temporary break from GMB. However, she reassured viewers that it wasn't a permanent exit. Appearing alongside Richard, she told him and Lorraine that she would be back soon. She explained: “I am back in two weeks.”
Lorraine replied: “We will miss you! Have a great time, Susanna.” Co-host Richard also added: "Have a lovely time off!"
