Mel B became incredibly emotional as she discussed her father, who died during filming of America’s Got Talent last year, saying she believes he is always around her.
As Mel started to discuss her father. during her stint as guest panelist on Loose Women, she began tearing up and apologised to her fellow panelists for being unable to talk about too deeply.
She revealed the earrings she was wearing, which she regularly wears, were actually his and she asked for them as a gift after he died, saying she bought him the piercing for his birthday.
Mel said: "I don’t think the pain ever goes away whether it’s a year, 10 years, 20 years.
"Today, of all days, I really miss my Dad and I wore these earrings because I got him a piercing and I said when he died I definitely want to wear my Dad’s earrings because I can feel him still."
At that moment she started fanning her face as she became overcome with emotion, and said sorry as she tried to hold back the tears.
The other then asked Scary Spice whether she felt that he was with her, at which point she revealed there is a photo of him in her wallet.
She added: "Sometimes I like to think he sends me signs or he guides me – I meditate a lot and I feel he’s got his arms around me.
"I miss and a day doesn’t go by when I don’t think of him."
Her father died aged 63 following a five year battle with cancer in March last year.
And Mel said even though they were filming America’s Got Talent at the time, she praised the show’s head Simon Cowell, who stopped filming for three weeks so Mel could be at her father’s bedside when he died.
