Holly Willoughby hit back at Mel C as they discussed throwing knickers from a moving car window on This Morning.
Mel, 48, joined Holly and co-host Phillip Schofield as she discussed her upcoming autobiographical book with them in the studio.
Inevitably the chat turned to Mel's inclusion of a story about the day the Spice Girls signed their record deal with virgin records when they went on a wild night out to celebrate.

The passage in the book claims that bandmate Victoria Beckham was so excited at the deal she ended up flinging her knickers out the cab window as they celebrated.
As Phillip quizzed her on the story Mel roped Holly in as she tried to explain events surrounding the hilarious incident.
Mel recalled:" We went in this cab, we'd had a few champagnes to celebrate signing the deal, and somebody's knickers ended up getting chucked out of the taxi, which is very Spice Girls. Victoria I'm sorry for telling that story."
Phillip interrupted: "How come her knickers ended up out the cab window?"
Mel said: "Holly, we've had nights out…"
A gobsmacked Holly then retorted: "My Knickers have never ended up out of any cab window let me say."
Phil meanwhile seemingly didn't want to feel left out as he joked: "My pants have!"
The supergroup signed the deal in 1995 and then went on a wild cab ride to swanky Kensington Place in West London.
In her autobiography, Who I Am, Mel C wrote: “By the time we arrived, the taxi was a wreck; there was lipstick, champagne and flowers all over it. Somehow, Victoria’s knickers ended up being chucked out of the window…”
Their manager at the time Simon Fuller gave the unimpressed driver £50 to cover the mess and the group's “terrible behaviour”.
She added: “We steamed into this incredibly posh restaurant, stinking of booze and ciggies, and crashed onto the table. The other diners were not amused.
“By this point, Victoria was so drunk she pretty much fell asleep face down in her dinner. She was still knickerless!”
