Hollyoaks' winter trailer reveals Darren's kidnappers, death tragedy & dead body

The nights might be getting colder and frightful, but the drama in Hollyoaks is oh so delightful this festive season.

It’s been quit a dramatic year for the long-running serial drama, which saw deaths, returns and hostage situations aplenty, and things are showing no signs of slowing down as 2021 concludes.

In fact, if the Channel 4 soap’s brand new Winter Trailer is anything to go by, then it’s pretty clear the Hollyoaks will see out the year with a bang!

Luke Morgan’s (Gary Lucy) behaviour grows increasingly erratic, leaving Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie waring) in tears.

There’s a huge return in the form of Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe), while Imran Maalik (Ijaz Rana) takes matters into his own hands.

If you’d like to reflect on all of the huge developments, then we’re taking a closer look below.

Luke’s last Christmas

Cindy is determined to make this Christmas the best one yet as she fears this may be her husband- to-be Luke’s last, as his FTD worsens and his dangerously erratic behaviour continues.

But a heartfelt video message from the man himself could prove to give her the strength she needs.

Ollie, meanwhile, befriends Becky, who starts to mess with his mind, claiming that Luke doesn’t need doctors!

Will he be sucked in by her extreme beliefs?

Imran attacks rapist Ali

Imran has enough of manipulative rapist Ali, and – desperate to make sure he doesn’t get away with his crimes – he menacingly warns Ali to admit what he did.

Ali, however, refuses to comply with his demand. The question is: just how far will Imran go to get a confession out of him?

Trish and Maxine take on Fergus – as Warren dies?

The trailer hints to deadly danger for both village bad boys Warren and Fergus as Trish sets out to get a confession out of fiancé Fergus in the wake of discovering what he has been up to.

As seen last week, she intends to record a confession, but things take a turn for the worse and it looks like Fergus might meet his demise at the hands of Maxine, who appears to attack him with a bottle!

Warren, meanwhile, is seeing lying unconscious in prison. Has Fergus claimed another life?

Mercedes returns – and is hellbent on saving Christmas for the McQueens

Mercedes makes her highly-anticipated return back, and the McQueens couldn’t be more happy, as they struggle to save their home ahead of the festive season.

But Nana’s health worsens in sad scenes, leaving the clan unsure if they’ll be able to get back on their feet before Christmas.

Deadly danger for kidnapped Darren

More details surrounding Darren’s kidnapping is revealed in the new trailer as it is clear the real danger lies with the captor Ethan’s girlfriend, Maya, who is from a very dangerous criminal family.

Darren is seen staring down the barrel of a gun, but will he manage to convince Ethan to spare his life?

Or will Ethan do as Maya demands and silence him for good?

Celeste frames Mitchell for Lisa’s murder as a body is found

The trailer teases heartbreak for Martine as she is told that her son, Mitchell Deveraux, murdered her niece, Lisa Loveday, but all is not what it seems as he was framed by his own sister, Celeste!

Celeste does all she can to keep the truth behind Lisa’s murder from getting out, but undercover cop Nate is still hot on the Deverauxs’ tail as he suspects there’s more to the story.

Will the true killer be exposed?

Charlie and Ella decide to start a family

Ella’s pregnancy scare last month appears to have made her think about starting a family with Charlie, and one particular scene in the trailer sees Charlie admit that he would like to have a child with her.
