Home and Away Justin death fears as James Stewart opens up on wedding car crash

Home and Away star James Stewart has opened up about the upcoming car crash leaving multiple characters lives in danger.

The actor has teased what fans can expect from the Australian soap as Justin Morgan is accused of fitting faulty brakes on the ute used for Felicity and Tane's wedding.

While Eden Fowler (Stephanie Panozzo) drives Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis) to the wedding, she struggles to brake the car due to the bikies' secret sabotage.

As they head dangerously towards a van that is driving slowly, Eden feels that she has no choice but to swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid an accident.

This has disastrous consequences when Eden and Felicity collide with Justin and Leah Patterson-Baker's (Ada Micodemou) car.

Eden and Felicity are sent flying into a service station, before crashing into a petrol terminal while Justin and Leah's car goes airborne and ultimately crashes onto a fence.

Speaking about the crash, Justin explained: "I was super excited that we're doing a car accident sequence.

"The logistics of having 60 people on set at 4.30 in the morning until 6.30 at night, it's just the thrill.

"The two cars speed towards each other and lights go off and all sorts of things happen and then they call cut and everyone claps and screams and that was super exciting to see."

However, despite the excitement on set, James reveals that when he's part of a big stunt he does think if it's going to be the end of his character.

He said: "You always have this little thing in your head, will I die? But you've got to leave that question to God I suppose and just go with the idea and do your best. I love doing it so I'm lucky."

Following the crash, an unconscious Eden is freed from the vehicle by paramedics and Leah, who is impaled by a fence post nearby, is also rushed off for emergency surgery.

Justin is in turmoil as Leah remains in emergency surgery.

However, things only get worse when Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright(, who's rocked by the injuries of both Felicity and Eden, blames Justin for the accident.

Cash claims that Justin should have spotted the faulty brakes when he worked on the car at the garage.

Speaking about the aftermath of the crash, James said: "Justin is very methodical as a mechanic and loves getting it right.

"It's disbelief to Justin then he slowly starts to think it maybe true. So not only does he have the Leah heartache but also guilt on top of it.

"It's a colourful way for the writers at Home and Away to set up the next drama coming up.

"Justin wants to clear to his name and he doesn't want this name dragged through the mud."
