Karen has gone above and beyond to prepare for their return, even volunteering to give the young family some space to settle.
After a harsh reality check, Ziggy feels out of her depth and is grateful to hand over responsibility to Dean's mum.
The new parents take Baby Thompson out for her first walk and Summer Bay can't contain their excitement over the new addition.
Braving her first public breastfeed, Karen notices that Ziggy’s maternal confidence is faltering and the pressure on Ziggy piles up.
When her baby girl won’t settle, Ziggy blames her failing mothering skills.
Wanting to give Ziggy space to bond with her newborn, Karen volunteers to leave the house, but Ziggy descends into despair as Karen was her lifeline.
Across the Bay, Rose catches Mali’s eye on the beach and he asks her out for dinner.
Despite things getting off to an awkward start, Mali’s cheeky humour grows on Rose and the two kiss.
But when Mali sees Rose in her police uniform the next day, his smile fades and he goes cold on her.
Meanwhile, Felicity's secret drinking takes a worrying turn when she smuggles bottles of alcohol from work.
With things seemingly returning to normal following the accident, Tane wants to reset a date for the wedding.
But Felicity is nowhere near ready as she is still tormented by traumatic memories.
Despite Felicity’s hesitations, Tane ploughs ahead with wedding plans anyways.
Elsewhere, Eden's memory surrounding Cash remains lost, leaving her wracked with guilt.
As Cash continues visiting her in hospital, he only amplifies her guilt for not remembering.
Refusing to talk around the issue, Eden demands Cash recount their romantic history but it becomes too much for her.
Unable to withstand Cash’s longing, Eden tells him not to visit her anymore.
Both feeling flattened, Felicity and Cash decide to perk their spirits by throwing a party.
Mackenzie is concerned by Felicity’s manic behaviour when she comes to raid Salt's alcohol cabinet for the party.
It's not long before the truth dawns on Tane and he realises Felicity is throwing a party to avoid talk of the wedding.
Causing a public scene, Felicity drunkenly informs Tane that she doesn’t want to get married.
Vulnerable and drunk, Felicity admits that she’s tormented by memories of the accident, leaving Tane heartbroken for her suffering.
Spotting Mali at the party, Rose forces him to talk and he admits he doesn't trust cops.
When she begs him to look past the uniform, Mali agrees to go on another date.
