New I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! trailer
Kate Middleton’s uncle, Gary Goldsmith, was reportedly in talks to take part in the next series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here.
But according to reports, ITV bosses rejected the millionnaire businessman, saying it was “too much of a risk”.
Gary, 58, is the younger brother of Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton and attended the weddings of both Kate and her sister Pippa.
A source told the Sun: “Gary was well up for a stint in the Aussie jungle and taking part in the Bushtucker trials but it doesn’t seem to be happening anymore.
“Obviously, he could be a ratings winner but maybe it’s just too much of a risk.”

Gary has been involved in a number of scandals, and bosses were said to be worried that he could further embarrass the Royal family by speaking out around the campfire.
This is despite the show featuring other contestants that have a royal connections.
Mike Tindall, 45, who is married to the Queen’s granddaughter Zara took part in the show in 2022. He was the eighth celebrity to leave the jungle narrowly missing out on the final which included Former health secretary Matt Hancock, 44, ex footballer Jill Scott, 35, and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner, 23.

Ruthie Henshall, who was a former lover of Prince Edward, also took part in the series back in 2020.
The 56-year-old West End veteran has spoken about how she would get smuggled into Buckingham Palace to visit the young Prince.
Ruthie dated Edward in the early nineties before he began his relationship with Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
It’s unclear whether Kate has a relationship with her uncle, but earlier this year, he said that she “always has such poise and class” and described her as being a “magnet for attention.”
In a column for the Daily Mail after King Charle’s coronation, he wrote: “Knowing her like I do, I’d say it is her authenticity. She’s a very genuine person. I don’t think you could pretend to be anything you’re not when you’re in the spotlight for a never-ending period of time. The cracks would show.”
“In a way, I think she has become a conduit between the old-school monarchy and modern life as most of us experience it.”
Express.co.uk has contacted ITV and Gary’s representatives for comment.
