I'm a Celeb fans want Holly Willoughby to return WITH Ant and Dec next year and form a 'Holly Trinity'

The This Morning host has won the hearts of the nation in her role as Dec's sidekick since making her debut on the reality show.

She has been praised for her sense of humour and style after Ant, 43, decided to take a year off from the ITV reality show to focus on his health and wellbeing.

And now fans are calling for Holly to become a permanent fixture on the show.

One wrote: "I'd love to see Ant & Dec with Holly."

And another added: "Can we please have Ant, Dec and Holly presenting next year?"

It's left the show's bosses with a "wonderful dilemma", according to sources in the Australian jungle.

An insider told The Daily Star: "Holly has breathed new life into the show.

“It’s a wonderful dilemma for them to have.

"At the moment there are no plans to bring Holly back, but stranger things have happened.

“It’s really a matter of what the public wants. And what the public wants, the public normally gets.”

The Sun exclusively revealed that Dec had been in constant contact with his best friend ahead of the first live show on November 18.

Dec was desperate to ensure his best pal was not offended as he and stand-in Holly addressed his absence from the series.

The new hosting duo rehearsed several different script options before running them by Ant – and waited until just moments before the show to see “what felt right” before making their final dialogue decision.

A TV insider said: “The pressure was on in the opening scene to both introduce Holly and explain Ant’s absence from the series for the time in 16 years, but also keep it light and funny for the family show."

They added: “Dec was sure to keep Ant in the loop on that particular link as he didn’t want to seem at all insensitive, but the discussions with the production team about the exact wording were taken right to the wire.

“Everyone felt the pressure was on to hit just the right note, without an uncomfortable situation coming across that way on-screen and several suggestions were scrapped along the way.

“Ultimately, what’s happened with Ant is really sad and serious, but the show must go on.”
