FORMER Strictly Come Dancing couple Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec have a fun and colourful home to bring their first child up in. The married pair's plush pad features modern designs and is full of prized trophies and quirky ornaments.

The twinkle-toed stars have a luxurious bathroom with free-standing tub and chrome radiators. Elsewhere, there's plenty of space to do yoga – something pregnant Janette regularly enjoys in her downtime – in the light and airy lounge that backs onto the garden. The property is big enough for some tiny feet, with Janette announcing the pair are to be first time parents over the weekend.

The couple were planning on starting IVF just before Janette, 39, fell pregnant naturally.

She said she became "overwhelmed with emotion" at the 12-week scan where the doctor told them their baby is "already dancing".

The 39-year-old quit Strictly after eight years to join spin-off show It Takes Two as a host. While Aljaz broke fans' hearts last year when it was revealed he too was saying goodbye to the show. It led to speculation now could be the time they turn their attention to family life – and it proved correct.

Janette told HELLO! magazine: "For the past couple of years we hadn’t been using protection but nothing was happening, so we thought IVF was the next best thing for us to do," said Janette.

"I turn 40 later this year and the NHS offers really good services to women under 40.

"The doctor said that as soon as I got my period we would start injections, but my period never came.

"I know that IVF can be really strenuous on a woman’s body and there is no guarantee it will work, so to know that this little miracle just came from a wonderful night we had together is amazing.

"I think the baby decided to make Mum and Dad panic a bit before saying, ‘ok, fine, I’m coming up now.'"

Janette and Aljaz joined the cast of Strictly in 2013 for the 11th series of the BBC One programme. They married in 2017 across three ceremonies in London, Miami and Aljaz's native Slovenia.

Recalling their wedding day, Janette said: "Aljaz makes me smile, he makes me laugh, he makes me happy and he makes me feel like a princess. "I grew up in Miami and I've been to Disney World 42 times. "On our wedding day I walked down the aisle to a song from Cinderella because I always say I found my Prince Charming."
