Explaining the way he cooked his goose, Gaston said: “Liberally salt and pepper it, have your oven set at 180, and we put it in. Now, this is going to be quite controversial.
“Because, I don’t want a goose to be medium rare, I want it well cooked, to me you get the better flavour.”

“I just think if that is all you care about in life…” Galton interrupted and explained: “But some of the chefs you get out there!”
James slammed: “Well they need to get out more as well, do you know what I mean?”
Galton added: “I think you get better flavour from it being better cooked! When you have something on the medium rare side of things, I personally don’t think you get as much flavour.
“Do you know what I’m saying? You have got to understand.”
On Christmas eve, James updated his fans after having an operation to fix an ongoing knee problem and gave an exciting update.
He captioned the post: “Hi there, guys. Cheers from my local pub. I’ve just popped in for a quick drink to wish you all the very best, and you’re probably all busy Christmas shopping and visiting the family and all.
“I just wanted to thank you for all the amazing messages that you sent me as well. The knee is on the mend and enjoy tomorrow’s show.”
He previously told fans: “Just a message to say many thanks for all your kind messages. Operation done now.
“Can’t sleep but I guess that’s a small price to pay for now. Back and fighting fit soon!
Fans were delighted to hear of James’ operation and took to their Twitter pages to express their love.
