The Grand Tour trio dive into the world of French car culture for their latest two-part lockdown special. Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond explore the weird and wonderful things French cars can offer in the first-look trailer for the upcoming special. However, apprehensive Jeremy admits he’s a little sceptical to try out French motors in the preview clip.
Introducing the special, the trailer shows the three presenters being reunited.
The clip begins: “In our second lockdown special we take a look at our closet neighbours.”
Jeremy explains: “France, we like their food, their wine but French cars can be a bit weird.”
Richard is then seen sitting in the driving seat of a propeller-powered car.

“I’m going to do it,” James cries out as he starts the engine and Richard adds: “I’m going to take it for a drive.”
Jeremy exclaims to the crew: “Run for your life,” as Richard sets off in the vehicle.
Elsewhere in the clip, the three presenters look up to see a car being suspended in the air.
Jeremy comments: “It’s claimed the suspension is good you can drop one from 500 feet.”
As The Grand Tour hosts watch the car plummet to the ground, Jeremy remarks: “Oh s**t.”
In the next scene, he continues: “The French pretty much invented motorsport and certainly today we will be adhering to French rules.”
Jeremy, James and Richard head on a road trip starting in the Welsh hills before reaching the English Channel.
“[The French’s] view is if you want to go to the top of that hill up there you just use your normal family car,” he explains.

In another scene, Jeremy and Richard are seen racing around in a lime green Citroën SM.
“I love this car,” Jeremy says and Richard agrees: “I really want one.”
The Clarkson’s Farm star points out the “largest stop sign” inside the vehicle.
Richard jokes: “Stop! One of a number of things has gone wrong and you must stop instantly or die.”
