Jeremy McConnell 'desperate to do Celebs Go Dating' after break from showbiz

The Irishman, 28, hasn't appeared on television since an emotional Jeremy Kyle celebrity special in March during which he claimed "no one would touch him with a 10ft barge pole."

However, a friend of the star, who recently underwent a nose job in Poland, says he has his eyes set on a reality show return.

Speaking to The Sun Online, the insider said: "Jeremy's now hoping to go away and then come back and do more reality TV like Celebs Go Dating.

"He thinks by going away and hiding he can come back an go on Celebs Go Dating, Ex On The Beach and other reality shows and everyone will love him."

Despite Jeremy's recent absence from the spotlight, the friend feels like fame has gone to Jeremy's head and is worried he's being led astray.

They continued: "He’s so self-obsessed that we would be out and he would think everyone was looking at him an taking pics, he thinks he’s a big deal. He wants to be known as a lad because he’s so famous he can do what he wants.

"I just feel just like he’s a lost little boy being led by the wrong pack."

A representative for Jeremy declined to comment.
Meanwhile just days ago a model who claims to have rescued Jeremy from "the streets" branded him a "user".

Ashlei Parris accused Jeremy of "betraying" her by moving in with his lawyer after she gave him a place to live.

She claims she offered the reality TV star a place to live after he got kicked out of a friend's house in Cardiff.

The model, who recently got veneers and underwent a breast enlargement at The Clinic Center in Turkey, said she took him in because she "couldn’t leave him on the streets."

However, Ashlei says Jeremy ditched her after his electronic tag was removed so he could move in with his solicitor, Katie McCreath.

She has told The Mirror the TV star didn't even say goodbye.

Ashlei said: "I feel used and betrayed by Jeremy. As soon as that tag was off he was gone.

"He said he was going to Manchester for an evening and I never saw him again…

"Jeremy thinks of himself as an A-list lothario and he’s a total jumper – he will jump from one person to the next."

He had to stay in the region to complete his community service after being from Cardiff Prison in December.

Jeremy spent just 34 days behind bars after he was convicted of attacking his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis.

The Sun Online exclusively revealed last month that Jeremy had moved in with Katie, who helped get him out of jail.

A source told us: "Jeremy is getting ready to make his big comeback and has been lying low. Now all he does is post pictures of the inside of Katie’s house on social media…

"He is really close to her and she’s been helping him work out how to build up his public personality again. He thinks of Katie as the person that rescued him and will help make him famous again.”

Since getting out of jail, Jeremy, who has a young son with his ex Steph, has rarely been seen in public – aside from a short trip to Poland where he had a nose job.
