The new season of Netflix's lockdown-defining Tiger King has arrived.
It promises a whole host of dramatic twists and turns, including more information about the mysterious disappearance of Carole Baskin's ex-husband Don Lewis.
But for season one cast member Joe Exotic, things are looking a little less exciting.
He was sentenced to jail at the end of the last series and is now facing health problems.
The big cat enthusiast is understood to have been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, his team announced on Instagram.
The statement said: "Everyone, It is with a sad face that I have to tell you the doctors called me in today to break the news that my prostate biopsy came back with aggressive cancer.
"I am still waiting on the results from another test as well.
"Right now I don’t want anyone’s pity and I’m sure Carole Will have her own party over this!"
Is Tiger King's Joe Exotic still in prison?
For now, the mulleted maverick remains in prison, fighting for his freedom as well as his health.
Exotic was sent down at the end of the first season on charges of hiring two separate men to kill Baskin.
When is Netflix star Joe Exotic's release date from jail?
Exotic was sentenced to 22 years in jail back in 2020.
This means that if he serves his full term he will be released in 2042, at around 80-years-old.
It is understood that season two will focus on Exotic's bid to be released early from captivity at the Texas federal prison he is being held in.
In the same statement Exotic said: "What I need is the world to be my voice to be released, they have the proof I DID NOT DO THIS!
"And there is no reason for the district attorney to drag this out, So I can go home and get treatment on my own or enjoy what life I have left with my loved ones!"
"Say a prayer everyone & be my voice."
A panel of judges in Denver has found that some of Exotic's bid for an earlier release may have some legs.
They say that the various crimes he was accused of committing should not have been treated separately, and should have instead have been looked at together.
They believe Exotic's sentence could be as low as 17 years.
Why is Joe Exotic in jail?
As well as the two charges of hiring hit men, he was also found to to have been in violation of the Lacy Act.
This is an anti wildlife trafficking law which he broke when moving tigers across borders.
He was also found guilty on nine counts of violating the endangered species act after killing five tigers.
