Johnny Depp surprises fans as Captain Jack Sparrow

It’s been six years since Johnny Depp last played Captain Jack Sparrow in the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

Since then the star was dropped from the franchise by Disney amid domestic abuse allegations by his ex-wife Amber Heard, which the actor strongly denies.

Yet having won his libel case against her in the US last year, fans have been hoping the 60-year-old star will make peace with the studio and reprise his much-loved role.

Now OLBG have shared the odds of his return as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6.

As it stands the bookies have given this a 3-1 chance and 25 per cent probability.

Meanwhile, the odds that Depp will not return as Captain Jack stands at 1-5 on an 83.3 per cent probability.

During the US court case, the star confessed he wouldn’t return even if Disney paid him hundreds of millions of dollars.

However, time heals and producer Jerry Bruckheimer is open to the star reprising the role.
