Kanye West accuses John Legend of 'using tactics based on fear to manipulate him' as he Tweets his text messages pleading with him to stop supporting Trump

The Stronger hitmaker called Trump "my brother" and claimed they both have "dragon energy".

His support of the controversial president led him to lose Twitter followers, including Kim Kardashian's sisters.

Even his celeb pals have tried to talk him with John asked him to reconsider his actions.

Kanye took screenshots of their conversation and shared them on Twitter for everyone to see.

John wrote: "Hey it's JL. I hope you'll reconsider aligning yourself with Trump.

"You're way too powerful and influential to endorse who he is and what he stands for.

"As you know, what you say really means something to your fans. They are loyal to you and respect your opinion.

"So many people who love you feel betrayed right now because they know the harm that Trump's policies cause, especially to people of color.

"Don't let his be part of your legacy. You're the greatest artist of our generation."

However, Kanye wasn't impressed with JL's attempt at an intervention and replied: "I love you John and I appreciate your thoughts.

"You bringing up my fans or my legacy is a tactic based on fear used to manipulate my free thought."

Kanye then tweeted: "I tweeted the John text to show that there are people around me that disagree with me and voice their opinion. I respect everyone's opinion but I stand my ground."

He also tweeted John's reply which read: "Think freely. Think with empathy and context too. Your words and actions have consequences. Much Love."

Proving there was no bad blood, John quipped: "And since you're posting texts, let me add that I have a new single out haha."

Kanye replied with a laughing emoji and said: "I love you John."

Naturally, John's wife and Twitter queen Chrissy Teigen gave her two cents and also jokingly text Kim to see if they were still meeting up tomorrow.

She said: "Everyone keeps asking me to comment on s**t. Comment on psycho Tami Lasagna, whom I refuse to give the joy to, say something about RHOA, speak up about kanye.

"When it comes to people we know, we DO speak up. To THEM. not on Twitter. And sometimes, I guess it makes it to Twitter."

It comes after The Sun Online revealed Kim is worried their celeb pals will "blank Kanye at the Met Ball" over his controversial beliefs.
