Kelly Clarkson says new album is 'personal' as she hints divorce from Brandon Blackstock inspired 'emotional' songs

KELLY Clarkson has revealed her ne album is the "most personal one ever", as it comes amid her divorce.

Kelly and estranged husband Brandon Blackstock confirmed in June that they were divorcing after nearly seven years of marriage.

Now, the Stronger singer has shared that the "whole record is basically every emotion" you can experience in a relationship.

The 38-year-old said: "This next record, this will probably be the most personal one I’ve ever released."

Speaking on Sunday Today With Willie Geist, which will air Sunday September 13, Kelly added: "The whole record is basically every emotion you experience from the beginning of a relationship to the end of what it is now or where it is now.

"It’s been very therapeutic for me. It’s very honest."

Kelly also revealed her children have been listening to early demos in the car, and that it is "weird" for them to be singing about their lives.

"There’s one that my kids sing in the car because I’m going through mixes," she revealed, "I’m just, like, ‘This is weird.’

"Like, it’s your relationship. I’ve never written about my life to where my kids are singing along. … That’s a little different, but it is what it is."

The singer, 38, and talent manager, 43, share five-year-old daughter River Rose and for-year-old son Remington Alexander.

The Voice judge is also is stepmom to Seth, 13, and Savannah, 18, from Brandon's previous marriage.

According to documents obtained by The Sun, Kelly filed papers in Los Angeles on June 4 and cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

The singer requested joint legal and physical custody, though asked the court to not award Brandon any spousal support in the paperwork.

Just one month before filing for divorce Kelly put her 11 bedroom Los Angeles farmhouse on the market for $10 million.
