Kim Tate (Claire King) and Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) have taken a temporary leave of absence from Emmerdale, flying to Dublin on some urgent business.
The Home Farm businesswoman broke the news to husband Will following a business meeting with new associate Caleb Milligan (William Ash), who has just signed on the dotted line to go into business with her.
Will was taken aback by how last minute the whole thing appeared to be, but Kim was adamant that their trip was a necessary one.
Caleb, meanwhile, was left grinning from ear-to-ear, delighted to cause trouble in paradise for the wedded couple, having wound up Will following their altercation earlier this week.
Will, as viewers will recall, became adamant that Sam Dingle (James Hooten) had stolen his watch, and he wasted little time in confronting him on the matter at the Woolpack.
Caleb, having witnessed the altercation, came to Sam’s aid, and Will was forced to apologise after his missing watch turned up, courtesy of Nicky (Lewis Cope), claimed Thomas had come into possession of it.
Kim, meanwhile, said sorry to Lydia (Karen Blick) in regards to the way she treated her over the watch incident, offering her and Sam their jobs back on the spot.
Lydia accepted her offer, but reiterated to Kim that they’ll simply be colleagues now, and will never be friends again.

Whether or not this will change we’ll just have to wait and see, but perhaps Kim’s trip away will give them some much-needed distance, allowing them the opportunity to re-evaluate their friendship and whether it can be salvaged.
One can hope!
