Laurence Fox has his house searched by the Police
It has been reported Laurence Fox has been sacked from GB News following comments he made on Dan Wootton’s show.
The actor and politician sparked a huge backlash last week when he questioned what “self-respecting man” would ever “climb into bed” with journalist Ava Evans.
The remarks on Dan Wootton’s GB News show saw both men suspended from the channel and according to BBC, Laurence has now been officially axed from the broadcaster.
Fellow host Calvin Robinson has also been sacked after stating bosses were “scared” of regulator Ofcom, who had launched an investigation into the interview following thousands of complaints.
More than 8,800 people got in touch with the watchdog to issue complaints about the derogatory remarks made by Fox.

In a statement released on Wednesday, GB News said: “Laurence Fox and Calvin Robinson were both suspended last week pending internal investigations that have now concluded.
“As of today, GB News has ended its employment relationship with Laurence Fox and Calvin Robinson.
“The internal investigation into Dan Wootton continues.”
Many have already taken to social media to respond to the update, with Twitter user @PrayerWarriorF1 writing: “I can understand Fox but Robinson?”

Following a huge public backlash, Laurence, who was suspended at the time, issued a lengthy video statement on his Twitter on Thursday.
He told viewers: “I told them [GB News] exactly what I was going to say, and I think people found it amusing if I’m honest.
“They knew what I was going to say I think I even did mention to the producer the use of the word “s**g”.
“Anyway, I’m on with Dan, the point I should have made, if it wasn’t 9.45pm at night and you know, in a banterish type way was to say that men who are traditionally stoic men should probably avoid women who don’t like them very much and who dismiss male suicide. I just felt the misandry of that was so much.
“If I was going to be sensible and could replay it I would say, ‘Any self-respecting man in 2023 would probably be well-advised to avoid a woman who is going to possess that world view.'”
