LEGENDARY broadcaster Jon Snow made a return to screens today and proved he's lost none of his magic since quitting Channel 4 News in 2021.
The newsman, 75, briefly took the reigns from hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls to expertly tease his own interview and segue into an ad break.
Wearing a suit and colourful tie, Jon presented the programme from behind a mini desk.
After the break he joined the main table and discussed his new memoir, The State of Us, which he was inspired to write after the Grenfell Tower tragedy in 2017.
He recently told the Guardian of the link between the terrible incident and his book: "It’s an excellent and important moment in history to guide us on our way: the idea that the richest borough in this country even had a Grenfell, how disgraceful.
"The whole ethos was horrible, horrible. Very few people looking at Grenfell in a dispassionate way could conclude other than that there was genuine and aware policy to let people rot up at the top of that tower, whatever happened. People should be held to account for it.”

Jon was the longest-serving presenter in Channel 4 News's history before his departure, having spent 32 years at the helm.
Of his exit, Jon said: "After three incredible decades on Channel 4 News, it is time to move on.
"I am excited by the many things I want to accomplish but I have to say I have enjoyed every minute of my time with the programme.
"It has brought me adventure, as well as sorrow in some of the stories that I have had to report and also joy in reporting others, but, above all, it has brought me community in working with the most fantastic group of people who are bound in intellect, humour and understanding.

"I feel proud to have contributed to Channel 4 News, let alone to have anchored the programme for the last 32 years.
"I'm looking forward to new adventures and new challenges."
Jon's career in journalism began at LBC in 1973 before he moved to ITN in 1976, where he served as Washington correspondent and diplomatic editor.
He then became the main presenter of Channel 4 News in 1989.
Before his departure, Jon revealed that he and wife, Precious Lunga, had welcomed a baby son.
"In our desire to seal our now 11 years of marriage with a baby, my wife suffered numerous medical setbacks and miscarriages," Jon said in a statement.
"Consequently, we will always be deeply grateful to our surrogate, who carried our embryo to term.
"Amid these challenging times, we feel doubly blessed to be able to celebrate our good fortune."
Jon also has two older daughters from his first marriage to former partner Madeleine Colvin, 64.

He married Zimbabwean academic Precious, who is 27 years his junior, in 2010.
Jon is the cousin of retired BBC journalist Peter Snow.
